This captivating and cleverly cobbled together video utilizes royalty free footage from the NASA.org website interspersed with footage of recording artist and singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jeff Saxon. The lyric of the song is from the point of view of a down-on-his-luck guy who responds to an online ad for a sky surfer. He ponders the preposterousness of the job, weighs his options and ultimately decides to give space life a try.
This low budget, but resourceful video was produced by Mike Lauer (18 Productions, LLC) of a song entitled "Space Station 13509" from Jeff Saxon's 2010 CD release, "Truthteller" (on Relevant Records, available on iTunes).
The track, co-produced by Saxon and Mark Mattson, has a strong jazzy vibe to it (in the vein of Steely Dan), but with cool Latin underpinnings, too.
