Nieuport 11 vs multiple Fokker E.IIIs. Rise of Flight networked dogfight in Syndicate server (2010-08-19).

Nieuport 11 misses one Eindecker, which later makes a surprise by diving on to the tail of Nieuport and initiates the dance. Other participants join in quickly. Nieuport eventually expends left overs of ammunition from previous fights and leaves the dancing floor.

  • Good moves dude, well flown! My salutations to your skills.

  • @stalkervision "Far" above does not work in N11 or N17. Flutter begins at 220km/h, so dives are very limited. Given that human opponents are not very predictable, diving attacks, whose you can't correct in later stages, are not very effective. "Far" above requires either long range shooting or circling down before each attack and then climbing back.

By the way, Eindecker can dive at 250km/h and even maneuver at such speeds, so its diving abilities should be underestimated by any N11 or N17.

  • @Pokerface1337 Yes, history books love to romantize about the fokker eindecker.

Now the real part: The plane structure was an "under license" STRAIGHT copy of the french Morane-saulnier, the rotary engine "uberusel" was an underlicense rip off of the french gnome et rhone. The only good novelty of this otherwise outdated plane was its synchronizer, witch, when the first N11 arrived and began to shred fokker to pieces WITHOUT synchronizer, proved to be not that much useful.

  • @ZaltysZ jo, senai.

  • at 1:05 what the german pilot is doing is a manuvere called the pedal float its also

named as other things moving the plane from left to right at a good altidude

making it harder for the allies to hit the german ace :)

  • Good job.

  • The Fokker Eindecker was a long time a notorious aircraft for the allied pilots. They didn't name themselves "Fokker Fodder" for nothing. It was the "Fokker Scourge" time back in 1915. Anthony Fokker synchonised the guns, that the bullets flew directly through the propeller without hitting it.

  • Those E.III's look like total crap compared to the Bi Planes.....thye look unmanuverable in comparison.....WWi monoplane haha. ofc I have no idea what they are actually all about....

  • very nice. even though you haven't shot down any, you managed to leave the lopsided battle in one piece
