A United Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner made an emergency landing in New Orleans on Tuesday after experiencing what the airline called a "mechanical issue" while air traffic control conversations seemed to indicate an electrical problem.

United Airlines flight Seattle and/or SFO to LAX and a Air New Zealand London to LAX flight will show one of the A380s is total dis-repair state as they(the flights just mentioned) taxi past one of the 3 "white elephant A380s" parked at LAX. Yes. there are now 3 A380s down and parked at LAX>>>>left of 24L in a parking/storage area....close to the Qantas maintenance yard

A380 does not have 4 thrust reverse, because the plane was already way over weight before the drawings went into metal. Thrust reverse is everything>>>>it does the initial frictional and Aero braking when a plane touches down.The A380 is a "white elephant" bought mainly by State Airlines>>>not so much a matter of choice but mandate>>>just like the way the Former USSR used to dispense of commercial aircraft. A380 has less weight on each wheel than 747 plus 20kt lower approach speed = less energy per wheel. that's all you need to know. (reverse thrust dosn't do jack - you don't even count them in stopping distances)

And every A380 ever built is flying right now except the first airbus test aircraft. None were ever out of service more than a few weeks. Show me this LAX ghost plane.
