I remember back in the day it was all about Louie Weaver/Petra, then Keith Thibedoux/David and the giants, then POW!!! Mark Hammond!!! Who knows what planet this guy came from, but I'm glad he landed here !!

i was so happy to see live video of Mark playing drums. ALways loved his studio work on all the 80's Christian music. A lot of groove in the Hammond family...!

Ah, Mark, you have set the bar 24 yrs ago when I first heard you on Real Life Conversations, and no one has come close since. Thank you for single-handedly changing music and the way drums should be played.

When I first heard this guy's drumming on Michael W's first album(Project), my drum world changed forever. Thanks Mark. Not too many Christian drummers can convincingly pull off Weckyl/Peart type licks, and apply them to Christian music, Bravo!!!! I'll always be a big fan. I lived in Nashville for 4 years, and Mark's work was the most respected and admired drummer by all the fellow drummers/musicians I met/knew. This guy doesn't just solo well,he applies genius drums to music. A Rare talent.
