@Tommykinz34 its a scar from his fight with Angeal. Angeal cut his face as a challenge when he turned into a monster.

@Tommykinz34 remember when angeal goes into that monster form? Well, the monster angeal tried to kill zack with a thrust of the trident, zack evaded, but the tip of the 1st prong just scratched him. That's a scar.
