Norman Lear was the man! He created: The Jeffersons, S&S, Good Times, Maude, What's Happening, All in the family.......... each show touched on all sides of the spectrum-- list goes on and on--- in other words, it wasn't politically correct. Today, TV shows is for the pits.

I'm not sure how some people are turning this into a culture mud slinging racist -uncivilized debate, just watch the video & learn from it. when Norman Lear & Red Foxx wrote this episode it was to expose the ignorance among races & bring CIVIL dialogue about other cultures to the fore front. Some of you are quick to be sensitive concerning this episode, but yet you hide behind the same injustices & contradictions as Fred ( only difference is, the race & face). Conqueror your own contradictions.

@2632jibaro the same way Puerto Ricans and any other race judges another race. cool off, in the time period this show was made, it was a whole lot of judging going on. and that was the point of doing this episode to expose that very ignorance during that time period.
