Cinema were a short-lived band started in 1982 by Alan White and Chris Squire with Trevor Rabin. They had plans to release their debut album in 1983 and were working on a number of songs (most written by Rabin).

Eventually, these musicians were joined by Tony Kaye and Jon Anderson. Soon after this, the band dropped the name "Cinema" and renamed itself "Yes."

  • This song is mislabelled, it's actually called "You Know Something I Don't Know," and as is noted in Wiki, Trevor performed an instrumental version of it on the club tour in 1989,

  • @sororpomegranate Here is the listing from the CD..Yes - "Cinema Sessions" (Studio demos/outtakes early 80s) 1) Run Through The Light 2) Tempus Fugit 3) Untitled 4) Does It Really Happen 5) Untitled #2 6) Run Through The Light (Alternate Version) 7) Jamming #1 8) Don't You Know Everyone 9) Make It Easy 10) Jamming #2 11) Open Your Door 12) Run With The Fox (Demo Version)
  • @kramsmad8 Right, but I am telling you the real name of the song is what I already stated. Oftentimes the listing on bootlegs is incorrect. I thought you might like to know, is al;.

  • @sororpomegranate I wasn't disputing what you said I just posted what was on the CD. It would be nice if they could release some of this stuff officially. Thanks for your input.

  • @kramsmad8 Well, at least we did get to hear a complete recorded version of "Make It Easy."

  • @sororpomegranate True! They need to release some official bootlegs kinda like what King Crimson does. At least they could some money off of it.

  • This is amazing. Considering this is an unpolished demo, it sounds just stunning. The band as an early embryonic entity, and Trevor's fiery guitar & beautiful vocals, the improvised, in the moment creative fire, spirit, exuberance & inspiration just are sublime. 6:36 on you can hear Chris, Trevor & Alan discussing the intricacies of the song, what key to play in, tuning down, etc. as they play. Gorgeous, sparkling, & insightful.

  • awesome

  • Brian Lane, was the man that did (to gain over) Trevor Rabin ...

To 'bail out' from Asia/1981 ...

Wetton & Howe was 'daze' ...

    To Rabin's decision ....

    Mike Stone, too !
