It's kind of fun though because you can reach a different audience. I go to an art school and often you forget that not everyone is going to step into a gallery. The average person isn't. Personally I would rather reach the street audience than the arty gallery audience. And when you leave art out there for whatever to happen to it it's more useful than stashing it somewhere in your studio where no one will appreciate it and its more exciting than putting it up in a gallery.
