  • WE ARE PEOPLE is a organization that I am trying to get off the ground. It is aimed at suicidal children, troublemakers, criminals both young and old, and bullied children like you. My overall goal is to teach them the boundaries through lifeand how to cross them. The message is that WE ARE PEOPLE just average ordinary people and we have the right to have the life we wish for.

  • @Alex18ace ...I'm a little confused... I would love to work with you in starting and orginizing this charity/organization, but I'm not suicidal, a trouble maker, criminal, or bullied, so I will not be in need of the services. I'm not sure if you typed that righ

  • That's AWESOME that you want to do this. I too have been trying to start a non-profit organization about Bullying. I have been saving up for it but I still need more people especially young people such as yourself, to have the want and time to be involved.

  • @PFCGrayson1 I'd love to get involved! Just message me a about it and I'll work with you

  • can i take a pay check if i start a non porfit

  • I am starting one up for Childhood/Teen Cancer. I will help families who do not have insurance and do not have the means of getting their children to appointments bc of job status, etc....It will also donate a big amount to childhood cancer research.

  • Here's a complete source on starting a nonprofit organization, It is open source and free. it covers from A to Z of everything you'd need to know from incorporation to tax-exemption. form1023.org

    Cheers,

  • You're never too young to start a non-for-profit organisation! Your ideas sound fantastic!!

  • OK, the red cross offers hundreds of services/programs to thousands of different groups, but they are huge and may or may not started off offering only a few services/programs and grew larger. ?

  • Everyone wants to help everyone The homeless, abused, bullied, the suicidal, vets, pets, disabled, dieing, poor, hungry, OK, you get it. But if you tried to help everyone you would help less. I guess that offering counseling to the bullied, bullies and suicidal would be very similar as far as the research/education and staff needed so I guess I have wasted your, and my time, But keep this in mind.

  • Sounds great but you may want to consider specializing in one particular group as you would be more able to help that group than if you offered a wide variety of services/programs. If you had a strange rash and went to your doctor he may help but he/she would probably refer you to a dermatologist who “specializes” treating medical conditions on our skin.

  • Starting a non-profit sounds like alot of work. I also want to start a non-profit when I get older. But what I've seen is it is not a easy task. An idea like yours which would I believe be a civic initiative but which you could also expand beyond the community level, involves some management work. But some of the other non-profits out there that have civil society elements focused on national development are very difficult to manage and also fund. Good luck. I hope you are able to start one.
