I actually think Howlin Wolf was more of an influence on Rock and Roll then any of his fellow generation. He was a huge influence on Led Zeppelin....by their own admission.

@rfw45, I always think of Muddy as a Delta bluesman who played Delta blues and when he moved to Chicago it was still Delta blues just electrified. But that is just my take on it. I never considered him Chicago blues.

Really? You don't like BB? So many great Chicago greats, Muddy, Buddy Guy, Little Walter, etc. It's all good to me. And the tribute that all the great Rockers have paid to them is immense.
