Wait, here's a novel idea, how about parents watch thier children? Oh my bad, I forgot that parents are not responsible for thier children in the U.S. Ya, we should probably just round all the edges in the Nation so nobody gets hurt.

Rear view cameras should be standard on base price SUVs, pick up trucks and minivans. The cost is not as high as the reporter claims. The life and safety of kids is in jeopardy here just because people want to save a few bucks.

Okay, auto manufacturers want to say it would increase the cost of the vehicle dramatically to add in a backup camera system. But needless to say, I'm doing just that for under $100. So what they're actually saying is....yeah, we'll put them in, but we wanna rape your wallet to do it. Several aftermarket companies sell kits for just this situation, so until the auto manufacturers get their head surgically removed from their tailpipes. I would suggest looking in to an inexpensive setup.
