Adam spent much of his childhood hiking and cycling the beautiful mountains around Boulder, Colorado. His competitive cycling career began there and eventually took him to Gent, Belgium where he raced across Europe with the world's best cyclists.

After five years of cycling, Adam discovered massage therapy's healing power and earned his Certified Neuromuscular Therapist credentials from Paul St. John as well as his personal training certification both in 1997. His career took him to Vail, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains where he worked with athletes of all ages and abilities for six years. During that time as his interest in biomechanics and human kinetics grew, he realized almost all of his clients lacked functional movement training in their lives.

When Adam found the Swiss Ball, first utilized in Switzerland in the treatment of neuro-developmental and orthopedic conditions since the 1960's, he was struck by its effectiveness and simplicity. In fact he used this versatile, portable and affordable modality to remedy his own muscular imbalances from years of cycling. With this tool, he realized he could affect the wellbeing of people across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and Ridgeline Fitness was born in 2000 with his first DVD, Swiss Ball Basics.

Around this same time, Adam found Paul Chek, founder of the CHEK Institute in Vista, California, whose holistic philosophy of corrective exercise, performance conditioning and lifestyle management resonated with Adam's vision. After finishing production on three more DVDs, Swiss Ball Abs & Core, Swiss Ball Upper Body and Swiss Ball Lower Body, he completed his Chek Exercise Coach certification in 2008 then opened the Ridgeline Fitness Institute in 2009 located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Currently Adam serves clients whose goals range from excelling as an amateur athlete to managing symptoms of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Adam is also a USAW certified Olympic lifting coach. Two of his clients have won the Womens' National Masters Olympic Lifting competition in their age (one is 71 and the other 58) and weight classes for the last two years. The Swiss Ball is still a key component of their training today.
