Four Sundown Audio SA-12s playing Gorilla Zoe - Juice Box screwed. They are powered by a single Sundown Audio saz-3500d @ 0.5ohm and love it. These subs are little beasts. My digicam sucks but you can just barely see the whole side flex at the end.

  • it dosen't matter where the port is u still have to roll down the right side window when u sit in the drivers seat ur body stops the sound waves on the drivers side thus when u open the drivers window u don't get a change in bas un till the passenger side is opend

  • @biggdaddy2001 I don't gain any spl by rolling down windows or opening doors if that's what you're referring to.

  • @Derrick824 yes you do everybody does

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 You would be wrong on both accounts. My Explorer does not gain, neither does my brother's Excursion, or the Sentra we're building.

  • why isnt the port firing at the hatch

  • I've had really good luck side porting with the port loading in to the driver's side rear corner.

  • What ohms do u have the subs at?

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 lol dumbass.

  • Bass is deeper when the windows are down. More air like a flow.

  • @biggdaddy2001

i noticed that in my car

the acoustics are that way i guess

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 opening your doors releases the spl's you are after if lets say your doin it for spl, keepin all doors windows and hatches/ trunks shut traps the air inside increasing spl levels. i should know iasca eastern canadian wc2 champion for bass boxing and 2nd in idbl runs this summer.

  • @GEARHEADGUY92 No you don't. I dont either. You can test it yourself but to get the most, you just want to make sure the port is facing the back.

  • @biggdaddy2001 some cars seem louder with a window cracked. i know my camaro sounds quite different. either way, why not share the sound ;)

  • @biggdaddy2001 diffrent cars are diffrent

  • @Derrick824 Neither does my Explorer

  • @biggdaddy2001

I am not questioning since I am sure you know wtf you are doin. But I would think that with the entire car sealed up, there would be MORE sound PRESSURE within the car. How could opening a window/door (which is allowing that pressure to escape) actually allow you to gain SPL??? I mean, when I am bumpin and my ears are hurting I open the window and it literally feels like less pressure on my ear drums... Please answer I am interested in how that works. Thx.
