The fourth in a series examining the legend of Zelda timeline. In this video we look at a few of the handheld games in the series.

  • Flaw in the timeline: Okay, so we know where Tingle... Or tingles come from, but what about Moblins? The evil pig like creatures. I've heard that they were created by Ganon, in his image. I don't have any facts to prove that statment as truth, but what I do know, is that Moblins are in Minish Cap, which is clearly shown in this video. If you, or anybody can explain why they are in Minish Cap please, tell me.....

Holy crap! Are we nerds, or what! :)

  • @PostPartyWithMayo lol, yes we are nerds. I have heard this Moblin story before, that they were created by Gannon but I have never found evidence for this in any game. It may be that in a strategy guide or an old Nintendo Power issue this was mentioned but if that was the case then it would be non-cannon and not considered in this attempt.

  • .........but I like Tingle

  • He didn't wish for world domination to start with because the hat does have limitations as shown by the ending sequence where it breaks apart just from fixing a castle. We also don't even properly fight Vaati when he is purely depended on the hat so what he did Hyrule could have been the absolute extent of his powers. The Minish being who they are probably designed the hat to help humans in small ways with small wishes.

It is also true they had good cause to send Link and not guards on the quest

  • Why do they send a kind instead of one of the trained guards that are standing right there?

Well the scene explains exactly why. They need the help of the Picori and they never show themselves to adults. The king also wants the guards to go out looking for Vaati, the one who caused all that.

  • And people say God is cruel for throwing sinners in the fires of Hell! At least He never turned everyone into Tingle!

  • In Spirit Tracks, Link uses the snake-like whip to swing across the pits and... HEY! That's MOTHER 3! Duster did the same in the Osohe Castle with his Rope Snake! WTF? That's a third rip-off in Zelda!

  • the reason they send link instead of one of the guards is that the minish only appear to children, as explained in the game.

  • MC obviously comes hundreds of years after its intro-legend. The intro-legend could come before OoT and MC could still come after OoT.

Also, the Tingle games have no chance of being released in the USA because they would just end up like the ET games.

  • @supersonic90001 nope link is hylian in SS

  • @supersonic90001 I get where you are coming from with SS, but I just can't consider it until it comes out and the entire game can then be examined. As for the Triforce in OoT, it is never actually shown to have been in all three pieces when Gannon entered. All we know for sure is that the Triforce of Power was their, although I do also believe the Triforce of Wisdom was their as well. In all likely hood however the Triforce of Courage was not.

  • @supersonic90001 SS may or may not predate Minish Cap, the games not out yet so we can't really know. The Triforce was split by an ancient king long before Ocarina of Time. I honestly don't remember Vaati referencing the moblins as having been created only by Ganon, although I may be wrong on this count.
