This is a little different from your average fangame. For starters, the game doesn't revolve around a shut-in who refuses to go outside. In fact, you can freely roam the front part of your apartment building and even in a small alley to the left.
This games handles dreaming differently than other fangames (and even the original Yume Nikki.). Where you go when you get in the bed is completely random. There is no central "door room" or "nexus". Each "dream" is different (though some look very alike to each other). The goal of the game is to explore your dreams and collect "memories." Each dream is, in a nutshell, more or less mini event. When you view the event, be it looking at a pattern on the wall or having to save one of your parents, you'll wake up and (usually) be given a message that tells you that you obtained a memory. (sometimes the message doesn't appear, but you'll still get the memory.) There are 4 types of memories:
Cruel
Happy
Rage
Illusion
In order to beat the game, you must collect 5 of at least one type of memory. The first memory you collect 5 of will determine the type of ending you get. (for example, if you get 4 happy memories but 5 rage memories, you'll still get the rage ending because you got 5 of those first.)

Could use a bit more of work, but I like the idea.

Aren't there gour possible endings? The cruel, the illusionary, the game over when you collect 3 rage, the one where both your parents die, and the happy one?

I think that what other memories you have effect the ending, looks like the burned stove (cruel one of mom) blocked your exit..? i know there is one when you are the cat and have to run away from dogs so i figure if you tuned into the cat maybe you were supposed to get away from the devils? We both have different versions so i don't know if you had this... I'm still playing this game myself and i love it @.@ i got hooked XD

I like this idea, with the memories and everything. It's nice to see a fangame that's different from the others for once~ ((Plus I love the soundtracks asdfghjklkjhgfdsa)))

@SakuxZaku95 the one psiwolf recorded is an older version. i have a more up to date version that i got from a japanese site that has a directory of YN fan games and the endings are still the same. but your probably right, the guy just probably didnt get around to finishing the endings.

@ZombieMika Actually, I got a different ending for 5 cruel memories. The problem is GETTING them! The game seems rigged so that you always get 5 illusion memories. When I avoided the illusion memories and tried to dream more, the game would freeze up on me. So it's either rigged, or incomplete. Or just glitchy.
