My tribute to a great composer and arranger particularly on this rare out of production lost album.
Brass on Ivory is a beautifully crafted song library of old favorites performed by Henry Mancini, a gifted pianist and composer and equally talented fluegel horn master, Doc Severinsen. Both performers work in perfect partnership to take us down memory lane and into a world of beautiful music. I hope you enjoy listening to this fine work, the only recording of these two masters together. Let's hope it will be released in digital soon. I'll be first in line!!
So fantastic! I have worn out my copy of this album and the follow-up album, Brass, Ivory and Strings. I am always on the look-out in old record piles for some replacement copies.
Thx for sharing!

This is one of my all time favorite albums. I lost my LP some years ago and this posting has really brought back some memories. Mancini has always been tops with me - I'm a French horn player - what else can I say. Thanks
