Cyndi Lauper's network TV debut!
Aired January 27, 1984
On this short-lived music/comedy show (in fact this was the only episode ever produced!), Cyndi is introduced to America by Andy Kaufman, who is terminally ill with lung cancer. Ironically, just as Cyndi is coming onto the national scene, Andy is on his way out. This would end up being his last television appearance, and he would pass away four months later.
In this series of clips, Cyndi performs two songs ("Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and "Time After Time"), then shoots the poop with Rodney Dangerfield!
