Besides, All Windows OSes, IMO are slower than molasses in January, and don't compare Ubuntu, that's the worst thing to compare with any Linux Distro's I've came across thus far, out there, I use Gentoo Linux, and it's by far the fastest, and most stable I myself encountered, according to some Linux Heads, Slackware is the best one, due to the fact Slackware ignores Dep

@mlopinto2k1 Your first problem is comparing the speed of installing something on a native platform vs. installing it on Wine. Of course the native platform will install and run it better. Now, had that software been optimized and given a true native linux port, it would be faster on Linux, because Linux is a faster OS. Oh, and Adobe design software isn't an OS, so I don't see why you are using it to compare OS speeds.

When you can give me a Linux box that installs design STANDARD software that doesn't require a socket layer that emulates WINDOWS, I might give it a try... AGAIN.
