James, thanks for posting this video. Having a daily/weekly quota is something that my writing coach and I put into play for my current project. It was a daily goal. Just as you have experienced, I beat myself up if I miss one day's goal. I like your weekly approach, as well as taking a day off. In case this helps you, I've used the weekly day off specifically to reevaluate my upcoming scenes and expand those notes so that I'm more prepared for the upcoming week. Thanks again for this video.

I was about to ask you via Twitter yesterday if you write by a word quota or what. This is really helpful! Thanks so much! I will let you know when my novel is finished :)
Thank you so much for posting this video :D It was not only (as ZachClooney said) inspirational, but it was also quite funny at some moments ^_^ What would you recommend is a reasonable weekly quota?

@kotestenn Aim for 5000. If that's too high, adjust. Good luck!

This is an inspiring short video. Thank you James Scott Bell for making & uploading it. I'm curious about the copy of the Evan Hunter/ Ed McBain book you have sitting on that bookshelf 0:30 What is that hardback book?

@ZachClooney It is Evan Hunter's The Moment She Was Gone. Thanks for the kind word, too.
