Had a pretty decent show. Can not be upset at all! Better than nationals for me actually.

Power stairs 350x3, 380x3, 410x3
I was excited about this and knew I had to get a flawless run to win. I started to get a little nervous as always happens with the first event. Maybe anxious would be a more accurate term but butterflies none the less. Mid run I made two rather large mistakes. I was a little mad at myself cause I did not think I could learn anything from it but I can. If you watch the video I am hunched over. I did not get full extension and that is the change I unwittingly made on the last implement. two seconds out of first. 3rd place

Sandbag carry 25' and load 50" 200, 240, 240, 280, 280
I saw all the other guys putting up quick times. I knew just go as fast as possible and I'd win but did not realize how close it would be. After my run I did see Foster Parnell stronghand them and throw them from about 5 ft out. I wished I'd have thought of that!... next time. I won by 2 seconds. 1st place.

10" Max Log press 260, 300, 340 fail
I knew this would be the awful part for me. I am tyically a strong presser but strained my teres major (I thought it was teres minor for a few weeks) a month prior while attempting an Iron cross on rings. I had no business trying... anyway, wanted to do 240 but the log was already moving to 260 so i went for that. and boom! I hit it easy. so happy as a week earlier my best was 240 with pain. Then decided 300 was for me. went for it and killed it! but my shoulder popped loud! I dont think it took much out of me but it might have messed me up for 340. I should have hit it. my arms were damn near locked out! I am still tender that I missed 340. but I have told myself I will hit 360 by the time the year it out. We will see if I can do it! 60pounds out from 1st. awful! 5th place? maybe worse.

Frame Deadlift 790
This pick was high so I knew I needed a big number. at this point I had also just got beat at one of my strong events by half the field. I was ready to win and make up some points. I went in with a blt and straps cause it was so high I just knew a good pace would win. Not much to report here. I just went for it. second place was 15 reps (Foster beat 14 and decided to shut it down, did not want to chase the 27) and I got 27. 1st place.

Stones to 50" 240, 280, 300, 335, 365
I think this is my new favorite event. I just love carrying them to the platform! I was not worried and got to go last which helped me to know that only one other guy finished the run. I decided to try for as fast as possible. In my mind it was the only chance I had to try to beat Foster. My foot got pinched under the platform on my first load! You can see it it was pretty funny but i rebounded and came back to win the event by 10 seconds. Even thought I loaded all of them in a quick time it was far from perfect! I was disappointed to see my feet were spread so far apart. I need to bring my feet in closer together. That would be much better! 1st place.

Bonus Event Dumbbell press 170, 180 fail, 200 (for fun off record) close!
My right shoulder could not handle this position. hurt to press 80 so I went with the 170 and left. hit it then went 180 and missed... Foster hit 190 and missed 200 a few times. I then tried the 200 and got REALLY close! locked and running after it and then lost it. I was not allowed to try again as i had dropped on the carpet I think. I wanted to get it! hahaha close but no cigar! Sorry Jay. I won on BW%.
