  • Ive just noticed on the `lighter` part of the video, when i start its bright daylight outside and by the time i finish its pitch black!!Even with the Citizen trailer parked outside the window.

  • Hi guys, thanks for your comments. It took several gos to get this uploaded.I do like the sound of the later conns, but i havnt got one at the moment-im all Hammonds.Ive never played a Rialto.I did have a Palace at one time and the sound was marvellous until the thing started shutting down.It was out of the box condition but at the end of 3 months it was unplayable.I sold it for 99p.Yes the internal leslie does make the tibia sound on these organs.

  • Yes, The good old CONN's. They don't make organs like they used to. Had a Theatrette 580 (junior version to the 650). Still wish to this day I hadn't sold it. The individual tone generators had the sound all of their own. I'd go with an analog organ over a digital any day...

  • Thanks, enjoyable video. Always thought Conn had the best organ sound of any of the old vaccum tube jobs. I had a Minuet years ago, limited, but good sound. Have an Allen 125 now, sounds pretty good through the magic of computers.

  • Hi Adrian,

Very entertaining. Well played. I've given it a 'like'. I can't understand why people don't bother, especially when they comment that they enjoy the video.

Only one complaint (for another upload perhaps) . When you have a mono sound track it would be nice to have it play out of both speakers. Other than that, really excellent. The Conns had a great sound, and their internal wiring was something to behold. You definitely have the expertise to get the best out of all your organs.

  • Enjoy all your videos Adrian. Have you ever played a Rialto II ? What did you think of it ?

  • It is amazing that some of these old Conn Organs are still working. Many Conn organ players play very good compared to those who play on Rodgers theater organs. Plus the Conn organs sounds like the real thing and maybe due to having a Leslie speakers. Both Allen and Rodgers do not have built in Leslie as they are digital. But I think Conn sounds much better.

  • I remembewr that fleece!!

  • Hi Adrian,

  • Hello Adrian,

I very much enjoyed this video-a joy to watch and listen to(with the retakes too) -well done-

I thought the lightened version was visually better.
