how about this one, connect an ignition coil to the plug then start up your car. A more environmentally conscious method would be to connect the coil directly to a 12 volt car battery. Make sure you wear safety glasses and stand clear of the tube when she blows! Will this work? don't really know, been off tube for over a decade myself.

get a 14 pound sledge and smash it into little pieces. do it do it kill the fucker. or you could dismantle it and put a plant in it and watch nature flourish in your tv.

I do like all the suggestions, but am still feeding my tv addiction (not really, but I do like to watch an occasional sporting event and frequently have it on as background noise as I'm working).
My favorite suggestion so far is the planter and come spring that's what it will probably become.
