Tiny Planet Explorer - Realtime 3D - ShiVa3D

"Tiny planet" is a special method for displaying a full spherical panoramic image.
It is similar to the mirrorball panorama ( also known as spheremap) which has been taken by aiming the camera updwards, but has less distorsion near the center of the image. The technique has been widely used with still images and with panoramic videos in some rare cases. Now it can be experienced in a realtime 3D environment.
The Tiny Planet Explorer has an additional fisheye-like display option.
The application was created with the ShiVa3D game engine.
