My wedding song also. I love it so much. But one major correction needs to be pointed out. This is not Mark Knopfler, it is Willy DeVille. Knopfler did the score for the movie and he got DeVille to perform it for the movie. First time I read that, I didn't believe it either, as I'm a huge Knopfler fan. Tis true though. DeVille died in '09, poor guy deserves credit for his song.

I was a big fan of the WWF as a kid back in the 80's so I had to see Andre the Giant in this movie when it came out. You just have to love Fezzek.

I always told my wife that if we ever had a daughter, this was one the first movies I wanted her to watch. Now that I have a beautiful little girl turning 1 in May, we can when she's a little older : )

Made a bet with my buddy on a drunken night a few years ago -- whichever one of us gets married first can use this song at the wedding. He beat me to the punch. It was played with just a piano and a violin. Fantastic. When it was playing he found me in the audience and gave me a nod. I gave him a wink. The musicians did a very good job. And to this day, they're love is like a storybook story.
