  • This is just plain economic protectionism. 90% of brazil's meat is produced in the south and center-west areas, where THERE IS NONE RAIN FOREST. You claim to want fair and free trade, but all you europeans want is to sell for our giant market, with no reciprocity.

So think again, we are turning our backs at you and your products, asia and africa are far better traders. China is now our biggest buyer.

We are growing real fast and you all lost great opportunities. Hehehe!

  • Its just a big con,i wonder how many MEPs have got their fingers in this pie

  • Well Done John! Climate Change? Global Warming? Carbon footprint? rubbish! De-forestation is a major cause of problems all over the world. Including Britain and a cause of the flooding some counties are experiencing.. I don't want Brazilian Beef, I want British beef ,we need to get out of the EU, and trade with the commonwealth countries.

The EU is run by a bunch of lying, greedy hypocrites! Gravy train? more like a Champagne Fountain- we poor suckers end up paying for.

  • Well said - Why on earth are we forcing Britons to curb their lifestyles to meet carbon quotas, when the EU itself is moving monthly from Strasbourg to Brussels and back, and sponsoring de forestation in Brazil, at the expense of our farmers! Time to govern ourselves!
