a better quality amp is of course going to sound better with the pedal. but the pedal sounds great in front of pretty much any tube amp.

I have more pedals but I realized you don't really need that much. Only a good amp and guitar. =)

I agree with you. There is a lot more organic sound with the amp...at least in the video. Still a great pedal though.

would a cheap 5 watt peavy valveking 8 give a decent tone when run by any tonebone tube pedals?(just as warm and thick as what you could hear in the guitarproshop demo videos)? i'll just use it for recording..and merely for youtube demo purposes..:)
