there is competition, from what I can see for them: McFly.
And The Libertines weren't competition for Arctic Monkeys, in fact I can guess that the former revived what Indie sounded like, while the latter take it to a whole new level (and this song is evidence for that)

this is a great album! made me like the monkeys more than i already did. new look reminds me of classic 70s look and its better. Indie Rock is the shit!
