I know this is much too late now. Carelian is not an official language in Finland. Some people understand this ancient dialect in the East. As for me, this is not possible even though the syntax and pronounciation is familiar. Luckily we have a translitteration of ristorand1. Terveisin, Ozaton, vailla mutsoin, joka minnuu suvaitsze.

She was first a lutheran origin, who changed her faith to russian orthodox faith. After staying years in Sudan she became a muslim. Nowadays she is a professeur of Arabic language in Helsinki Finland:)

@Kissinpoika, as far as I know, nowadays the Karelian "Livvi" language is recognized as an official minority national language in Finland.
