Great cover and rendidtion of this song written and originally sung by David Mallett. I have alot of respect for folk musicians who carry meaningful songs further so we all may learn. Thank you for posting this.

@danning1 Thank you danning1. It's pleasing to see someone feels about John like I do.

@janetawagner the cool thing about john Denver, is that he did not go along with the media, tearing down people. he respected Pres. Jimmy carter as a person, and together they made some amazing progress to protect Alaska, while still having growth. Actually, Sarah Palin and John would have shared some views--such as how precious life is for instance. Just because we have differing views, if their is still a good person in there==then there is hope of good things happening.. love is the answer.

@danning1 environment. and also, the current Nobel Peace price winning admin, refused to signe the ban on antipersonell land mines (Bush refused to sign it as well) but didn't hesitate to sign the patriot act, which made the USA a pro-whaling country for the first time in history. The oil spill? we won't even go there. Run your car on water.

@danning1 I geuss what I admire about him, as that he was TRUE person; a TRUE environmentalist. Did you know that the "green" government is spraying the air with contrails? (A mixture of drugs, chemicals, and little fibers that can give you a disease on the skin) how is that good for people or the earth? or water, air, or animals for that matter. Teflon is a great thing--if polluting your body, the ocean, and animals is OK. Teflon should be out of business for what their product has done to the
One thing you've got to give John Denver credit for, regardless of what you think about his music, was that he was an environmentalist long before it was cool. Even among liberals environmental concerns were consider to be of lesser importance than other issues in the 70s and 80s, and he recognized that that was wrong. Hope we all wake up before it's too late. Peace.
