  • It's nice to see some (non) JKA shotokan once in a while.

  • Oshima's English is perfect

  • The funny thing is that prior to that night I had heard many unbelievable stories about him from other high ranked black belts in karate that were not Shotokan practitioners. That night I felt like the archeologist that found the much needed physical evidence to prove that a mythological story was true.

  • A few months ago, I attended an MMA event. There, I met two former students of Mr. John Beltran. I am not a student of Mr. Beltran. On that night, the new acquaintances and I spent an hour talking about bigger than life stories relative to Mr. Beltrans karate feats.
