Live, as it happens, the lap before and the lap going into turn one, hits the speedy dry, gets loose, over corrects, slams the wall, goes on the roof, spins a few times, then flips down the banking, 8 times, on fire, and walks out ok. AWESOME!

I remember watching this live and the moment the car turned right into the wall I thought we lost another driver in this sport. Thank god for the safer barriers and safety devices in the cars.

Actually yes it could of been tight if a car is extremely tight the driver has to turn the wheel more to get around the corner then on corner exit it snaps because of the extreme amount of wheel into it.

Yes, it could've been. He went into the speedy dry and it messed up his line into the corner, which caused him to overdrive & get loose.

If you listen closely at 0:54-1:00 into the video, you can hear a dull thud when McDowell hit the wall and when the car started flipping.
