I bet Microsoft wants nine month delay because many people are leaving it for Gmail and Yahoo and they want "stats" to prove that people are still hanging there. xD

Seriously, MSN. How about one month, at most? I'm pretty sure that if an e-mail is abandoned, it's user probably won't use it within 30 days, or will log before that to keep it after all. Nine months is simply ridiculous.

@Ritskez Your e-mail address is reserved for 270 days after closing your account. After that time, it may become available for other people to use..... i got this info from the microsoft when i was closing my account
