An unfortunate Jaguar driver proves Mallory Park isn't as simple as it looks, and that marbles do exist outside of Formula 1... Not the nicest way to end your first ever race.

  • poor fellow sounded a bit stressed.

  • @TURBOPOE Ha ha, yeah, well, you rent a car and 30 minutes into your first ever race weekend....

  • How much damage did it do? I know u where pisssssed,I would have been,,,,If that was mine ill be so pissed ill run it back into the wall again, just to smooth some edges out!!

  • @nighttrain334 Lots! It was our team hire car, so it was a guest driver! The team's website (Kutuka Motorsport North) has the pics of the dead car - see "From the Driver's Seat" feature for the "Megan" race car seen smashed to bits here.

  • @jagitmax Couple of minor points:

    1. The "dum(b) ass" was a little unnecessary.

    2. It doesn't say "Toyota." It says "Toyo Tires."

    3. It was a Jag.

    4. It was positively a Jag.

    5. It has a Jag dash, and screen.

    6. It was our Jag. We're really sure it was a Jag.

    7. If you know your Jags, you know it was a Jag.

    8. Definitely a Jag.

  • @Jag4litre, maybe it would have made the corner it it was a toyota. Silly jag... if you know your jags of course.

  • This guy sounds like he's from Manchester!

  • I used to marshall at Mallory, it is a circuit full of nuances and once a car starts to get away it is very hard to recover because of the circuit nature.

  • I've done exactly the same thing! The front right brake slammed on itself at about 115mph in my old e-type. Me as a passanger and spinning into the arnco we went. Now she's in the scrap yard: I couldn't afford to fix it and noone would buy it.

Why scrap it? I hear you ask... If the bloody mustang didn't spin into the back of it - smashing the back in and dragging us down the arnco I'd still be racing her today.
