just been reviewing the comments- and am a little confused - how is this a good tutorial when so much of the action is out of shot or hidden behind hands. NOT at all helpful to me. but the cake is really pretty

Thanks so much for this video tutorial Michelle. I have started a small at home cake business inspired by my Mum who decorated when I was a girl. I always love to learn new things. Your website is so fantastic. One question...when you 'wet brush' your shimmer, do you use rose alcohol mixed with the shimmer & just brush?

Thank you Michelle, for sharing this video. I am a cake decorator in Canada. would you perhaps share with me what type of butter-cream you use and how you get it to be so smooth? I usually use Italian Meringue and it doesn't look as nice as you cakes do.

Hi Jeanette, I do not use buttercream on my cakes - they have chocolate ganache underneath rolled fondant.
