This is a video I produced for Aurora Audio in Hollywood California, and recorded in the audio booth at the world famous Grandmaster Recorders. The guys were conducting a blind sound test against the Neve console in the studio. Aurora makes top of the line pro-audio equipment designed and manufactured by Geoff Tanner. This particular clip is an aural test of the GTP8 prototype, which is an eight channel mic preamplifier. Many more videos to come. For more information on Aurora Audio and their line of professional audio products go to www.auroraaudio.net. Thank you.

  • the neve sounds like a neve.

  • @swollenpickle09

How would you say they stack up to each other? I am interested in the gtq2 a or the ams neve 1073 but they are pricey and have no affiliation with Rupert. But the Geoff Taner work for neve and people say his model goes beyond the 1073 but i think it has less eq. i just ordered some portico 5012's after hearing them and because they had a great sound and were very musical. Any way just wondered if you can shed some light. p

  • @reflixtinian yeah the differences in preamp are totally not in the order of importance as the downgrading quality of

    1) the camera mic and

    2) the compression of the video/audio and

    3) the youtube video/audio compression

  • Is that second clip REALLY the NEve has the guy says in the video???

IMHO sounds much nicer the first one...

Could someone tell wich is wich??

    Thanks!

  • Own both Aurora and Neve. Yes, definitely not a "NOT". Only a fool who haven't used or heard one would say such a foolish thing.

  • @reflixtinian ...and streaming through Youtube!!!

  • @HellBent1337 i think so 2

  • Something on the second one sounds a tad bit more open and bigger in the low's. A little more punchier and open sounding.

The first one sounds great too, little more mid forward...with solid lows.

  • Second: Neve
