  • I don't really like it, this style is only cute to me on children.

  • @CrimsonOkami hmm, never seen a child wear this style before, sounds interesting though.

  • i dont understand why ppl think gothic loita is asian. i meen come on it even has gothik in its title... all it is is the western goth in western old fashon clothing... ower western rocers wer dresing like this in the 80s for crying out loud... so you see its not a asian style its just on an asian who chainged the name slightly.

  • @gorillaconna I've never seen anyone say that gothic lolita was created by Japan, back in the early 70's lolita was mostly sweet & classic until rock bands caught on to it & decided to popularize more gothic style clothes. Every article about lolita has been about how gothic lolita was inspired by western goth, I've never seen anyone say "Gothic lolita was created in japan and only in japan.". It seems to me that you've run across people who think that way, well I & most lolitas certainly don't

  • @sunakochan69 that made me happy... so what you are saying is that its created in the west and i just keep finding idiots that think its 100% Japanese. ?

  • @gorillaconna I'm saying it was INSPIRED by western goth but created in Japan. Like Tokidoki, is a japanese inspired brand but was created in Italy. And yes you keep coming across those people, I'm sorry :/

  • @DarkRose114 Yeah, as long as you are able to combine them in a way that will make you look good. The reason why so many lolitas stick to one style is because of how expensive the clothes/accessories etc. are.

Oh and I'm kind of new to lolita but not really =P

  • @DeathCallsMeh666 Even in the U.S is fun dressing like this though =P The staring is kind of comfortable the 1st couple of times but then you get used to it. My mentality is: "Yeah B-tch, I'm rocking a puffy dress!" xD

  • @Kerrychanx not really. there are alot of asian designers that do have their own lines in it...but it was not solely asian to start with. and a lot of non-lolita clothing can look lolita if it is paired in the right way...because there are a ton of designers that look to victorian eras for inspiration; japan just happened to have a huge market for it and took the opportunity; probably because there are alot of schools over there have uniforms, unlike public schools in the us.

  • @DarkRose114 you can and most do.unless you're one who has the money to buy the entire outfit and all things pertaining to it in one shot, i have never seen it solely one style. usually it is a style base with some personality mixed to it; an that is what is good about it. where what you like, mix and match, and find your own sense within it. if you are on a budget..try to find pieces that will shift easily from one outfit to another of a different style.

  • Just asking becuse am new to Lolita, you are aloud to mix diffrent lolita styles tigather right?

  • Totally unrelated, but this song makes me want to jump Gackt's bones.

  • Im surprise to a degree that Mana-sama shows in this vid but on the other hand, Shes a lolita "goddess"

  • What's the big issue...?

It is a style taken from 1800s. At source, western, but it has synthesised into something completely new.

I think the comic/manga imagery has shaped it alot.

The Brothers Grimm were primary influences in lifting themes.

I think people are getting a little picky about the term Gothic (k)

Every culture has become enamoured with others, and lifted styles of fashion.

That's the beautiful thing about it.
