The clean startup of my home-built arcade cabinet. Some loading parts edited to save time. A total nerd show, I know, but the video is used on http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/ to show how to build a clean interface to such a cabinet.

The frontend that I'm using is AdvanceMENU http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/

  • hey how did you manage to get a complete back screen, I mean where did the bios screen, ram chsck screen go?

  • @suvodipmitra

It's there, but I edited it for time. On some BIOSs you can set a startup picture instead of the POST messages. You could simply set it to a black picture.

  • Can you tell me how i can get my pc to boot straight into the game list on mame fast i only use the pc for mame

  • See the description for a link to the full article that explains this. It has the configuration for faster boot times and the startup parameters. It is in the section: II WINDOWS XP SYSTEM CHANGES.
