@pnyc1969 it so does, the whole movie does. this is what acting is all about. the pure essence of the craft. stripped of all attitude, all artificial elements....just the plain human beings....

After their tribute to mama, uncles and aunts, they begin to sing "The Lord's my Shepherd...", and the tune they sing is a hymn entitled "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", tune arranged by Lowell Mason, 1824, based on First Gregorian Chant. It is found in The Lutheran Hymnal (of 1941), page 175 (1st version), also in updated (WELS) Christian Worship, a Lutheran Hymnal, page 125, and on page 425 of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod's new hymnal. The text of the hymn: Isaac Watts, 1792-1872.
