Fema is the worst operated dept we have in the usa... This is a STATE Problem and Perry should have ordered Texas to bring on the troops, not FEMA and they could have had a better control of this fire.,that's why they lost so much, Bastrop Co. has never looked at Fire and EMS as a top priority and wonder what they will do now.....It's Sad I was a fireman for for 15 yrs and a CHEIF for 7 and this was just miss managed. Sad that these people lost everything ! May God be with them.........

man i use to kick it alot out in the country mostly bastrop and cedar creek over on tahitian its all pine that must have been insane with all the oils sad thing is obvious arsen right away bastrop is just one of those counties that has little to do so teens and some young adults get faced and do that dumb shit a family friend lost his custom cycle gorgeous 2 story house and truck if they find who it was they are surely going to be killed

The fires appeared to be man-made. It shows how vulnerable we can be when it comes to domestic terrorism. All it takes is a can of fuel.
