Video Transcript Below:

[Listen.]

You can look to the north the south, the east, the west, and God is everywhere.

it's a way of looking at the world.

do many ways of walking to God; that's very beautiful

we all seek God together

in North Central Idaho

it's the ordinary way

work and prayer together

seeking God and serving our neighbors

St. Benedict says to treat every stranger as Christ

trying to live simply

caring for God's earth - it's caring for what we all hold in common, namely our planet

learning that God is in it all

just from being mindful and prayerful all the time

it calls for imagination

takes silence and solitude

prayer, day after day

that call to constant growth

the community has challenged me to be more than I'd ever have been without it

I love my sisters

it is, in a sense, being part of a family

it's home

if you are really truly seeking God, this is a place you can find Him

it's quiet, it's beautiful, it's fresh air

some of the needs of are time are silence, deep listening, and paying attention, listening from the heart, stability, peace

and that's what we have to share with the world

[Monastery of St Gertrude]

[A loving family of Benedictine women in Cottonwood, Idaho]

This is where God wants me to be for the rest of my life

[a place where you can grow old]

I wanted my life to mean something

[be a part of something greater]

[is the Lord whispering?]

it was just a nudge

if you're feeling the inclination

[come listen with us]

follow the call of your heart

[what is more delightful than this voice of the Lord calling to us? -St Benedict]

hear whatever it is that God has to say

[let us set out on this way, with the gospel as our guide -St Benedict]

time comes, and time goes, but we'll be here

[will you be here with us?]

The sisters were carrying a lectionary NOT a sacramentary. The Sacramental spicies were made with whole wheat flour and water. These sisters are authentic. BTW there are communities that because of presecution were founded without the habit also.

  • Beautifully done and I hope you post more features,

  • Beautiful video full of beautiful spirited women.

  • Was that a cookie the priest was holding up? Looked like Gingerbread! Women are NOT to carry the Sacramentary. When nuns feel the need to throw away their habits and mesh into the world RATHER than remaining a TRUE nun, then they seriously need to reconsider their calling! These are eco=spirituality, new age feminist "nuns" who are OF THE WORLD! Not BRIDES of CHRIST!

  • Worship the creator not the creation.
