This is what is left of our CRV after being rear ended by a Big Mack Tanker truck at close to 55 MPH. We were stopped at a red light. Our CRV went back in forth between the small car in front of us and the Mack truck. The truck did not start to use their brakes until after the first impact (3 total). The Truck hit us so hard the back end of the CRV was knocked into the air about 5 feet. All three of us are OK including our two year old who was strapped into his car seat- Cosco- Eddie Bauer edition.

  • You said you were OK but were you injured? And was the semi and semi driver ok?

  • This car was not rear ended by a semi at 55 mph. I'd bet MY life on it. Glad you're all okay though.

  • poor CRV :(

  • Praise to the lord for Honda's - To when accidents happen and stories like this when everyone are okay, Even to where my 1998 Honda CRV with 125,000m on it starts every morning!!

  • @Chickn80 They mentioned they were sitting at a red light. Those CR-Vs, like all Hondas, are engineered for economy, reliability, and...safety.

  • honda logo still looks fine :P

  • i bet yawl pulled out in front of him too.. one less piece of junk on the road..

  • My grandma drives 2 miles an hour in the slow lane and the only excitement is when she slams the brakes at a yellow light. One time, we almost got hit by a Mack garbage truck. She slammed the brakes for a yellow light and there was all this honking, and I look behind us... about 2 feet away, standing at least 9 feet high, one giant, resonating, humming, mack garbage truck... scary stuff.

  • ouch...... survivor O.O

  • It definitely was a semi or a large vehicle that stuck it. No other vehicle can cause such damage. You can see that the whole back caved in proportionally. Some people are so ignorant and think that they're the expert. Nevertheless, the author has no reason to make such an outrageous lie.
