Ah yes coffee - the great pre-occupation of the whole of Greece. Do you lot do anyting other than drink iced coffee?!

I'm surprised by the number of comments on this partiular video, but it's all good. I was just passing through last Summer on my bike, on my way to Turkey, and happened to make this little video. I was on the beach myself the next day!

I hope to go back sometime though, maybe when it's not so hot!

I am from Larisa and is a really lively town and extremely cheerful.But it's hell in summer,the temperature is extreme..

Well m8,as u said it was weekend during the summer and it was noon!!!!I don't know about ur habbits but here in greece,all major cities r empty during the summer,especially on august,especially on hot-as hell weekends,especially that time of the day!!!The inhabitants of Larissa where approximately 50km away from where u were at that time,at the beach!!!!!Actually Larissa is a very "live" and crowded city with great nightlife!!!Pass by some other time and u'll see.The city never sleeps... ;)

ΗΕΗΕ im from Larisa.The city of coffe in Europe.All stupids drink cofe in this city but i prefer have my aircondition n watch dvd movies.Its so hot my friend tourist here that all prefer beaches and not city centre.U can come now march.Its rainy n cold....hehe

It is not so bad...more peacefull to take a stroll when nobody is around....unless you are a lost turist in need of directions.

Like some people said most people are on the beaches...Messagala, Agiocampos etc....I hope you had a great time on your bike trip through Greece and Turkey.

in summer,at noon it it so hot in Larissa and nobody goes for a walk in the city center.People go at the nearest beaches (only 35 km far from larissa) or they stay at their homes waiting for the evening or the night to go for a coffee or a drink...Even in the summer you cant find a place to sit in the city center cafe's/bars later in the evening or in the night....

I'm also from Larisa and i agree with everything that r91976 said.Even Athens a city of 4 million people is deserted during the summer months.You can only see turists visiting the archeological sites or going to the port of pireus to board the ferries that transport people to the islands.
