i've noticed most american reporters do that when speaking to foreign leaders and diplomats from countries that are on US enemy list.. did it to gaddafi ,did it to assad, did it to ahmadinejad..is their is a pattern here

personally speaking...he is professional the way he speaks thats without a doubt...but when the people that peacefully protest in his own country are dying from these security forces...he remains all calm and composed...that to me is quite shocking...and other videos of syrian people saying him to go down proves the majority wants assad to step down...he's following his fathers footsteps and id be suprised if there is ANY opposition that will go against him in 2014 because i highly doubt it

@superviewer yes he is amaizing , notice how she keeps trying to trip him like a courtroom interrogator by repeatedly stating "crackdown" and "do you think the crackdown was too hard" " did you give the order for the crackdown?" she kept repeating these questions over and over, and he remained cool repeating the difference between policy and isolated mistakes.

Since he knows he is no dictator and not brutal, he does not realize that NATO + AL media did promote this successfully and created hate against him.

Why does Barbara Walters talk in such a whining tone. She is totally interrogating him and not reacting to his answers at all. Tatally brainwashed — the CFR is watching. It's good that most people watching this interview realize how biased she is. Bashar is taking it amazingly cool.
