  • Plantiga seems to be away on some romantic trip of his own. Does he claim to be a philosopher? I found refutations to his arguements faster than he could produce the arguements.

  • @gamesbok " I found refutations to his arguements faster than he could produce the arguements"

Well I would like to agree with you, but you add nothing to the conversation with that assertion.

    How so??

  • I love watching skeptics add nothing to a conversation.

  • @gusb232 I don't have time here to go into why none of this works, but none of this works.

  • @FatalKnight I wont say comparing god to the FSM is out of bounds : it has its place. I agree just throwing it out like that is not impressive at all.

  • @muzammilali007 Ah the old spaghetti monster, it really is a bad comparison. Are you claiming it is just as easy to prove the monster in the same way people try to show God exists?

  • you are what eats you. even gods have to eat

  • Awesome what's next on PBS? proof that the flying spaghetti monster exists

  • @gusb232 I still think that you fail to understand how classical christian thinkers approach the biblical texts. Augustine and Thomas Aquinas (for example) have this basic hermeneutical approach to the OT & NT: "caritas" (love, agape) is the key to interpreting the bible. Why? Well, because for Christians the God revealed in Christ is love itself. Therefore, whatever appears to be inconsistent with this principle in the OT has to be interpreted allegorically or analogically, etc.

  • @bayreuth79 "he bible was not dictated by God"

Not at all , I didnt state this was the christian position: Its the inspired word of god.

But many Parts of it do claim to be direct commands from YHWH, They're called commandments after all.

Are you claiming that when the bible says that YHWH Says somthing , These words were actually preverted by human intervention? Finding the silver lining of love in acts of genocide is a tribute to human imagination, Just as every religions can apologize.
