I do have some questions though to avoid confusion: when you make the chain do you need to make one extra chain stitch before you start a new row? Where would you go from here, tutorial wise? I can't find any info - double crochet or? When you say to start a new row on the next loop do you mean the VERY next loop because mine turns more into a longer chain? Thanks :)

This tutorial was really wonderful, big thumbs up from me! The visuals are very clear (as is your teaching) and I think the slow motion is great, learning through repetition. Ive always wanted to crochet and even though I can knit well, until now crochet has always gone over my head. My tension may need a bit of work, it's variably tight then perfect in different areas.

@angelinejt Your fingers are an important part of working the stitches so until you get further along you may hit them from time to time.
