is this style of attenuator only for marshall amps or can it be used with any brand of amp ?

@hq72hotmale
The UA is designed to work with any tube amp that is 4, 8 or 16 ohms compatible. It can work with 2 ohm amps with a modification.

Is it also usable in Marshall MG 50DFX amp(old one)? I know it's a stupid question to ask, but I didn't had any chance to use any attenuator.... So, I have no basic knowledge of attenuator, which is if all attenuators are only usable for tube amps ori is their certain brands for tube and transparent? Please let me know : (

Hi. I suppose you could use an attenuator with a solid state amp if you are trying to get clipping or compression from the power section. If you feel that your amp sounds best cranked but it is too loud then the UA will work for you. Thanks! Mark.
