I afraid I have to blame US on our government. I recently did a video in which I poised the question what would happen if the other side was organized like the Right. What if the people the Right hates (gays, hispanics, blacks, abortionists) moved to the low pop states (15 states with 2 million or less pop), they would control 30% of the vote in the Senate.
So why are those states not controlled by independants instead of D or R? Missed opportunity.

Im wondering if some sort of web-based election system based off social media would be capable of instituting something like this. Register with your social security number or something and confirm it with local government, like registering to vote. Make videos, share candidates with friends. Hence you have 35,000 supporters in your district you represent the most people, you get to go to congress. There are many challenges, not disenfranchising people without internet and possible corruption

Also what prevents you from going down to the corner of your street and setting up a food stand. Not big business, government! Time to end property tax, sales tax, income tax to cut off the nightmare of government. Hope the government shutdown last 20 years.
jack in the box is owned by jack, where I live there are plenty of small food companies, jack in the box, panda express, subway, quiznos, dominos, frosty freeze, papa johns, tommys, shakeys, jamba juice, Carls jr. are separate, then there are supermarkets, farmers market, 99c + the tree in your backyard those are all independently owned not owned by coke or pepsi. coke and pepsi own no fast food , they may own lays potato chips and orange juice but not fast food. Time to start drinking tea.

My point is that there isn't even a tiny chance that your nieghbor owns the local grocery store, restaurant, bottling company or butcher shop. And please don't try to persuade me that a franchise is the same as ownership. Economic plutocracy.

@zthustra BTW, my next door neighbor does own a salad shop. Franchises are not the same as ownership, but they choose franchises to save costs and because the customers demand them. If government was not there to enforce the regs, licenses, you would be free to start a business. You should be able to run a business out of your home w/no permits. Less government = more freedom = equal more business = save the poor. I still support $100 per week no questions asked permanent unemployment ins

@pirucreek
Would you agree that "If government was not there to enforce the regs, licenses ..." there would be no such thing as a franchise. Franchises exist because of artificial advantages created for the benefit of the plutocracy at the expense of mom and pop business owners.
People do NOT buy franchised food because of the great value they get at a great price! {sigh}

I need to do another video today. The issues like taxes keep coming up but they irrelevent to the discussion so far.
I would essentially end most of the objectionable costs to business like healthcare, unemployment, dissability, vacation time, retirement and even minimum wage. It is much easier than anyone needs to admit. It is just a matter of putting human wellbeing ahead of corporate profits. Regulate the fictional person and liberate the real person.

@zthustra I think you are kidding, but I want all gone except VT. But, I do think all tax credits and deductions should be eliminated and all IRAs. As well as all business taxes. Business taxes are just a way to avoid personal income taxes the 35% corporate tax rate plus the 15% capitals gains/dividend tax is 50% tax. Which is a fair tax for the top bracket, but the 50% applies even to poor people. Iras and charitable trusts are a way to avoid taxes. The whole country is a scam.

@pirucreek
NO, I am NOT kidding!
Get outside of your box for a minute and reexamine business taxes. ALL taxes on business (specifically corporations) are passed on to real people in the form of higher prices, lower wages and salaries and lower dividends.
Can you think of any reasons why corporations should be taxed and regulated and human beings should not? I'll bet you can!
Taxes should NOT be and do NOT need to be overly budensome.
This needs a lot more space than 500 char!
