  • In some ways i think this should be standard on all computers and if the person want to use something else they can but this would get them up and running at the minimum and help all those who are new or not very great with the "new age" Technology

  • @technologyinffo I agree that it should come installed standard, but Microsoft could get into some hot water if they did. Remember about five years ago all the problems they had with the European Union because they bundled Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer into Windows. Kind of silly, but I'm guessing Microsoft doesn't want to pay hundreds of millions of dollars more in future lawsuit fees.

  • can you please tell me why to make google chrome transparent like that?

  • @neroinaction It is the Windows "Aero" feature in certain versions of Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate).

  • Security Essentials seems like a pretty good product so far. It is a vast improvement from Win. Defender. Great review of the product.

  • I'm impressed with MSE. One of the pay-for outfits said it's inferior cos "it doesn't use heuristics". Cliff Evans of Microsoft has said "Microsoft Security Essentials does the normal signature stuff, but it also does a tremendous amount of heuristics and behavioural stuff. I'm not sure they're aware that's exactly what MSE does. It's not some kind of substandard free product, it's a high-quality anti-malware product comparable to the packages from Symantec and co." I'm prepared to believe that.

  • You forgot to mention that MSE protects you from key loggers.

  • Microsoft security essentials should come with every Windows computer from now on. It should replace windows defender and you can keep it unless you want to deactivate it to install a different one.

  • Oh shhhhhhhhh..... I got free norton 360 and its pretty beast! but tell noone! I got it for free so its a secret shhhhhhhhhh

  • @DigitalMeld Um why did the Europian uniun sue them or whatever, its just mediaplayer and internet explorer, i could see if that was communist russia but its not (is it).

  • @DigitalMeld why would they get sued in the 1st place?

  • @adambelfast1 I think there is a setting what action should it take depending on the severity /threat of a particular malicious program it has detected, for severe, you can select remove, or quarantine.

  • CRAZY THINGS!!! CRAZY WEBSITES!!! LOLZ!!!

  • This Product Is Prefect.Thank You Microsoft
