The winter days got us down a little. So we made a moss terrarium! It inspired my new painting..."Slow Down". Learn how to build a simple terrarium and see how I made my new painting. Techniques include masking, acrylic paint washes, and Sgraffito on wood. For more information, see my website wyanne.com. Painting and giclee prints available at wyanne.etsy.com.

  • what did you mix with the acrylic paint to get that 'wash'?

  • I used just water. You can also use a tiny bit of flow release in the water to get it to dry slower.
