  • Speaking in a western accent and boasting yourself about your dutiful and rational attitude will not mesmerise people. You speak about representing people's opinion in the parliament? That is the first unachievable dream of the commonman. First of all, let me know who was behind the riots targetting weavers in ur old cinstituency? I've asked about this at your prsonal website also? Check ur inbox. Don't fool around people, have some 20% true spirit and bring some good name to ur noble father.

  • True, Rahul Gandhi is the face of intellectuals, he was kicked out of Oxford, kickded out of Harvard and till 2004 was globe trotting with girlfriends, and then he decided he wants to do public service and is given a MP seat then General Secretary only bcoz he is a Gandhi, you guys seem to have forgotten that ONE family has rued India for so long and now the same person is going to rule with the same mindset and policies, I have one questions for you guys HOW IS THIS CHANGE? IT IS THE SAME BLOOD

  • guruvpk,

Seems you need a bit of growing up to do, and to stop making personal comments and stick to the subject.

  • How else does one bring change into the Congress party? I don't believe the congress party is led by fools. Rahul Gandhi seems to have a strategy to recruit younger candidates and bring about that change from the inside. I don't know if you saw photos from Rahul's AICC tour, there's a photo of him and Krishna speaking and a senior politician, is literally standing on the side trying to hear the discussion. This is the sign of the times, this is the sign of change!

  • Again, like I mentioned before, why are you trying to lower the bar? What good can come about from uneducated politicians? In fact not only should they be graduates, they should have graduated with degrees in running governments. Like the IAS and IPS are required to do. Why should you expect any less? Where's the virtue in just electing someone because he's the common man? I don't ever want to be running this country - I want someone much more capable and better than me.

  • If performance is what matters, look at his performance. I've spoken to people who lived in his Byataranpura constituency and know of what he's done for them. Why don't you dig and find out for yourself instead of expressing ill-informed opinions. It's easy to spew hatred and denounce someone, but can you find out the good things someone's done?

  • You seem to think that having qualifications is a flaw! Why should a politician be the representation of the common man and not that of the highest values one would like to see govern this great nation? Why do you want to lower the bar in an effort to include everyone rather than raise the bar and look for better candidates?

If you had to be operated on, would you rather choose a qualified or an unqualified doctor? The answer's obvious isn't it?

  • Seems that you are afraid of change Mr. etsuchamp!!!!

  • Dude, Seriously stop this whole change thing you are advocating, you belong to a party which has governed my country 52-53 yrs out of our 60 yrs after independence and has promised the heaven every time and delivering hell, dont discount the fact that a huge factor in you being in politics and successfull, is bcoz ur dad was a politician and you belong to the strong gowda community, infact you are a typical politician and there is nothing new to your candidature. Young guy Same Old Politics

  • I'm not saying that graduation is necessary for democracy, but that education is good and desirable for democracy - there's a difference that I hope you appreciate. And that an educated candidate is - other things being equal - a better choice for both educated and uneducated voters. Comprendo?
